Samantha Hayes, NP
Kellie Gautier is a board certified family nurse practitioner. She has been employed with Prompt Care since we opened in 2015. She began her career as a registered nurse at Raleigh General Hospital caring for orthopedic, oncology and medical-surgical patients. She then went to the surgical intensive care unit. After furthering her education she began practicing as a nurse practitioner. Initially she worked in general/vascular surgery and went on to work in urgent care and family practice. She resides in the area with her husband, Jason & son, Jade.
Melissa Baker is a Nurse Practitioner employed with Prompt Care for the last 3 years. Melissa began her career as a Licensed Practical Nurse at Princeton Community Hospital, decided that helping others was her calling, and furthered her education by becoming a Registered Nurse. She worked for many years on an orthopedic and neurological unit, but later transferred to obstetrics, discovering her love for Women and Children's centered care. She worked as an OB/Nursery unit charge nurse for the hospital for 32 years. Melissa loves to teach and shared this love with nursing students as a clinical instructor for both Bluefield State College and Mountain State University. She has served as a clinical care coordinator for Counsel on Aging and worked with special needs and disabled individuals with PAIS. Melissa became a Nurse Practitioner to be able to further serve her community. She worked for Dr. Jamette Huffman, OB/GYN while she was a local provider, and then transferred with Dr. Joe Ellington, where she currently serves the OB/GYN community. Melissa is excited and eager to serve the Beckley Region at Prompt Care and providing the community her many years of knowledge and expertise.
Jacqui Hill is a nurse practitioner who has been employed by Prompt Care Inc for the past year. She started her career as a registered nurse and was an employee of Princeton Community Hospital for nearly 15 years. There she worked in Labor and Delivery and served as a unit charge nurse. She then advanced her role and started practicing as a nurse practitioner with Dr. Ellington who specializes in OB/GYN care. She then transitioned to pediatrics where she worked for Dr. Alattar. Jacqui and her husband relocated to this area with their four children a little over a year ago. She decided to take her current position so that she could better serve her local community. Jacqui welcomes new faces and is proud to be providing care to our local residents.
